University Strategic Plan

Baylor University, with its traditional focus on the liberal arts, has always been dedicated to excellence in the humanities. With the embrace of Illuminate, the University’s Academic Strategic Plan, and Data Science as one of its five signature academic initiatives, the stage was set for the emergence of Baylor’s Digital Humanities Initiative. As an interdisciplinary and research-based initiative, its purpose is to explore the rich and diverse research and teaching possibilities emerging at the intersection of Baylor’s traditional strengths in the humanities and its more recent developments in the fields of data analytics, computational software, and computer infrastructure.
